'ar' Spelling Pattern

My Reflection: I was learning about the 'ar' spelling pattern. I found it hard looking for the 'ar' spelling pattern. I could not see it. I found it easy doing the sentences for the words. I need to work on looking for all the words that have 'ar' in them.

Earth's Amazing Enviroments

My Reflection: I was learning to research an environment. I found it hard to find reasons why the animal was in danger. It was easy choosing an animal. I want to work on finding more information about the animals that are in danger in the forest.

Doubling and Halving

My Reflection:
I was learning to use the doubling and halving strategy to solve multiplication questions. I found it hard figuring out which number to double. I found it easy doing the questions that I knew. I found doing the arrays a little bit hard. I think I still need to work on this strategy.

Flower Artwork

My Reflection:
I was learning to create a piece of artwork using multi-media.
I found vividing over the pencil easy.
I found it hard drawing the flower big.
I want to work on making sure my quarters for the background are more even.

My Speech

My Reflection: I was learning to write a persuasive speech. I found it hard thinking what to do for the conclusion. I found it tricky choosing what topic to do. I found easy to write my first reason. I think I need to work on writing a better conclusion.

Hockey Skills

My Reflection:
I was learning about hockey skills during six hockey skills workshops.
I learnt Indian dribbling and hockey juggling.
I found juggling challenging because you have to bounce the ball on the stick.
I found Indian dribbling easy because I just had to slide the ball side to side.
I think I need to work on some of these hockey skills.
My favourite part of hockey skills was hockey juggling because I learnt how to do it.

Olympic Tagul

My Reflection: I was learning to think of Olympic related words for each letter of the alphabet. I found the letters Z,  and Y hard to think of words for. The first letters of the alphabet were easy to think of words for. I think I need to work on knowing more words about the Olympics.

Fractured Fairytale

My Reflection:
I was learning to compare a traditional fairy tale with a fractured fairy tale. I had to compare the characters,the setting and plot. I found it easy writing about the fractured fairy tale because I can make it more creative. I found it tricky writing about the real story because it's hard to remember the story. I want to work on writing more about the fractured fairytale.

There, Their and They're Homophones

My Reflection:
I was learning my there,their, and ,they're homophones
Homophones are words that sound the same but don't look the same and don't mean the same thing.
I found this easy because I know what all of these homophones are
I found it easy to do the sentences.
I want to work on knowing more homophones.

Reading Around the World Challenge

My Reflection:
I was learning to research a country that was in the Olympics using skimming and scanning to help me.
I need to work on skimming and scanning.
I found it hard looking for all the information because I have to go back and back on. i found easy writing the stuff i know because when i know something i can just write it. i need to work on making it more intresting because it makes it better.

Problem Solving

My Reflection:
I was learning to solve addition and subtraction word problems.
I found it hard adding it all up.
I found it easy to set out my steps so I knew how I solved the problem.
I need to work on understanding word problems.

Matariki Acrostic Poem

My Reflection:
I found it hard finding ideas for my poem. Ifound it hard to think of ideas for the K.
I liked that I could find lots of my own ideas.
I found easy the M because I can start this letter with Matariki.
I need to work on making better ideas.

Going Into Space

My Reflection:
I was learning to summarise a non-fiction text.
I  found it hard to remember what to write about the topics.
I found it easy to choose the facts that I want to write about.
I want to work on writing the facts into my own words.

Ones, Tens, Hundreds, Thousands

My Reflection:
I was learning to find the ones, tens, hundreds and thousands in different numbers.
I found it tricky remembering how to work out the thousands.
I found working out the hundreds the easiest.
I want to work on knowing how many tens are in all of the number.

Basic Fractions

My Reflection: I found it easy matching them I found it hard looking for the right one i need to work on doing my half

Retelling Activity

My Reflection:
I was learning to retell the story.
I found it easy retelling the story
I found it hard filling in the boxes with detail.
I want to work on talking more about he characters.

Number Squares

My Reflection:
I was learning to do basic addition problems.
I found adding the single digit numbers easy.
I found adding the double digit numbers harder.
I want to work on my addition so I can get better.

Bike Skills and Rugby Skills

My Reflection: I was learning to compare bike skills and rugby skills when I was writing. I found it easy to write about what I liked. I found it hard to write using paragraphs. I want to work on adding more detail to my writing.

Pepeha Art

My Reflection:
I was learning to create a visual representation of my pepeha.
I found it tricky to colour my picture because the pastel gets really small.
I liked doing the patterns on my mountain.
I want to work on filling in the white spaces because this makes my picture look better.

No Space To Waste

My Reflection:
I was learning to respond to my book. I found finding the meanings hard. I found answering the questions easy. I want to work finding the meanings.

Te Tuhi Visit

My Reflection:
In term 1 I went to Te Tuhi. We did the Wish You Were Here workshop. This is my picture. I enjoyed drawing my picture.

Splitting Numbers

My Reflection:
I was working on splitting my numbers to reach ten. I found it hard with splitting the numbers. I need to work on splitting numbers to make a ten.
